Here are some things coming up!

This Week!

  • Grizzly Band rehearsals are happening now each Thursday at 7pm at the football field. They will continue every Thursday from 7-9PM until Oct 17th. Meet at the Football Field unless notified otherwise. Students should arrive at 6:45pm and be ready to begin 7pm.
  • Student Start-Up: The GPHS student registration/start-up events are August 20 and August 21 and opportunities to pay fees for ASB, lunch accounts and athletics; buy yearbooks; get Skyward/Family Access student login access; sign up for fall sports; get school photos taken; and more. More info here.
  • Rhythm Section Primer Camp: Wednesday to Friday, August 21-23 from 10AM-1PM each day at Valley View Middle School. It’s open to all VVMS and GPHS musicians who play guitar, bass, drums, or piano. Email Mr Morris for details.

Events coming up:

  • First day of school: Wednesday, September 4th – Freshmen only. Everyone attends starting September 5th.
  • All-Parent Band Meeting: Tuesday, September 10th at 7 PM! This is a great opportunity for new GP Band parents to learn about the various bands offered, including the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz I & II, and Grizzly Band.
  • Jazz auditions: Monday, September 9th, at 6:30 AM during the zero hour period.

  • Amazon Wish List: Purchase items directly for the band through our curated list, making an immediate impact on our students’ musical journey.
