Hello Grizzly Band Families!
This message is for all students and families of the GP Band programs!
Here are some things coming up.
This Week!
- First Home Football Game! EVERYONE is invited! Our own Grizzly Band will be performing in the stands and at halftime. The game starts at 7PM.
- Freshman Parents – The boosters want to meet you! Sign up to volunteer at concessions, something we only do once or twice per season. Volunteer here!
- Want to get in for free? Come help out at the concessions and you can Volunteer here! This is a fun way to meet fellow band parents and help make the GP Band Programs and the ASB a little money.
- Grizzly Band Practice is on the field this Thursday at 7PM. **Please arrive by 6:45PM. For students still needing uniform alterations, please check with our uniform coordinator, Sarah McKinney at sarahc27@outlook.com ASAP. This can be done on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
- Grizzly Band rehearsals will continue every Thursday from 7-9PM until Oct 17th. Meet at the Football Field unless notified otherwise. Students should arrive at 6:45pm and be ready to begin 7pm.
Events coming up: (Calendar, add to your calendar)
- First day of school: Wednesday, September 4th – Freshmen only. Everyone attends starting September 5th.
- All-Parent Band Meeting: Tuesday, September 10th at 7PM! This is a great opportunity for new GP Band parents to learn about the various bands offered, including the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz I & II, and Grizzly Band.
- Jazz auditions: Monday, September 9th, at 6:30 AM during the zero hour period.
Contributing to the band program:
- Spirit Wear: Our new Spirit Wear site has launched and is still taking orders! Those that have placed orders will receive your gear Thursday during Grizzly Band rehearsal. For students not in Grizzly Band, orders will be delivered to Mr. Morris. Get your Spirit Wear here.
- Amazon Wish List: Purchase items directly for the band through our curated list, making an immediate impact on our students’ musical journey.
